About Us
Ethnic minority women (EMW – recognized internationally as Indigenous) in remote areas of Vietnam face severe inequities in maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH).

mMOM & dMOM
mMOM (IDRC; $430,000.; 2013-2016) was a pilot mobile health intervention using SMS to improve MNCH outcomes among EMW in northern Vietnam – was implemented from 2013-2016 with promising results.
dMOM (IDRC; $704,000.; 2022-2025) is a new project funded by the International Development Research Centre in 2021 to adapt, expand and exponentially scale the mMom intervention qualitatively through the addition of COVID-19-related MNCH guidance and novel technological components (a mobile app and use of artificial intelligence chatbots); and quantitatively through its expansion over a broader geographical area reaching exponentially more participants.
